Make a Change
This is my favorite part.
Up the boardwork, over the hot white dunes, through the beach scrub and then...
Dazzling horizon.
This is what we sometimes lose, too - the feeling that down this curving path, over that mountainous dune, through this jungle there is that horizon of possibility. Things repeat, days blur, the seasons come and go and we're at it again and again at the same desk, same task, same path.
Change now. Something very small. And then tomorrow, change something a little less small, the day after that something a touch bigger until you suddenly make a great change.
Update the blog every day. Run ten feet extra every time. Once a week say hello to someone - someone you don't know. And suddenly you've improved your writing, increased the distance you go, and maybe, just maybe, made a meaningful connection.
